Marion Rose Damon passed away on 12/23/07. She served the Lord as an Advent Christian missionary to India for 45 years. We have been praying for her family and for her close friend and co-worker, Barbara White, who continues to grieve her loss. Marion was a great servant of the Lord.
Ernie Schache - Ernie, our Field Team Leader in India, is from Auckland, New Zealand. He was a businessman for most of his life and lost his wife of 39 years, Helen, to bone cancer in 2001. They had dreamed of going to India to serve as missionaries. After her death he was able to carry out this part of their dream. Prior to becoming the Field Team Leader in October 2007, Ernie’s ministry in India was to help supervise the finances of our India ministries and to work with Indian nationals on projects of building churches, parsonages, and other related activities.
Rob & Lindsey Musick - Rob’s the former pastor at Sparta AC Church in Centerburg, Ohio. He and Lindsey went to India August 13, 2007 as students enrolled in the Madras University. While there, they will live on our AC compound in Guindy and serve on the India field council – Rob will be the Director of Nurture and Training, and Lindsey will be Secretary to the India Field Council. They will also be taking language studies in the Tamil language. If that isn’t enough, their first baby, daughter Moriah, was born Friday Oct 5, 2007! Rob & Lindsey have a ministry website: http://simeonshope.org/ . Their e-mail address is: musick_7@ yahoo.com.
Jeeva & Grace Kiruban - Rev. Jeeva Kiruban was appointed as our national missionary for India on November 1, 2004. Part of his responsibility as the national missionary is to help the Missions Department stay in contact with our missionary work in India while the North American missionaries are home on furlough or if a situation would arise where we would need to bring our missionaries home. Rev. Kiruban, along with family has moved to the Guindy compound. He speaks 8 languages including Tamil, Hindi, and English.
Paul Sunder Raj - Paul is missionary to Bihar for the AC Conference of India and VP of the St Xavier’s English School of the AC Conference of India. He has been ministering for the Lord in the northern Indian State of Bihar for eight and a half years and now leads a team of 7 other Christian evangelists in and around the District of Khagaria. He is married to Suder Mathi and is the proud father of a son—William Carey—and a beautiful daughter that was born in October, 2007.
Neil Armstrong - You can certainly guess who A. Neil Armstrong was named after. He has never walked on the moon, but is one of our pastors in Chennai, India. Neil has felt a great burden that God was speaking to his heart to be a missionary to Malaysia. While awaiting his call, he continues to serve as a successful pastor in Chennai.
Returning Home—Earl & Martha Wright - They served in India for 10 years and will officially retire at the end of March, 2008, and will reside in Thomaston, GA.
